Daniel Allen "Danny" Hammontree, age 67, of Chatsworth, Georgia passed away Monday, July 6, 2020. He was born on December 2, 1952. Danny was hardworking, fun loving, kind hearted, a loving father and grandfather, and will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Jessie Hammontree; brother, William Lynn Hammontree; and sister, Gail Hickey. He is survived by his daughter, Tonya Hammontree Hardson and fiancé Matthew Smith of Dalton; special friend, Jamie Anderson of Chatsworth; brother, Ralph Hammontree of Kentucky; sisters, Kathy Leopard of Floodtown, Kay Farr of Chatsworth; and his grandchildren, Devon, Drake and Melia Hardson. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Daniel Allen "Danny" Hammontree will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 11, 2020 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home.
