Danny loved Jesus and grew up in the Baptist faith. His love for Jesus was the most important truth of his life. Danny was a retired painter. He enjoyed gardening, coloring, using his grills and playing the guitar. Danny had a adventurous heart that led him to a lot of places. He lived in many places. At a young age Danny was in a car accident that resulted in a life long back injury that caused him many problems. Danny wanted to join the Army and later become a cop but was never able to because of his back; he had two back surgeries. He worked hard as a painter but eventually had to go on disability. His back caused him a lot of pain and disappointment in life, but he kept going day per day. When Danny was eight years old his father died. Growing up without a father was very hard for him. Danny never spoke of his father very much but it was always clear he deeply missed him. Danny was married to Delores Flanagan for most of his life. He lost his wife in November 2018 which took a heavy toll on him. Danny loved birds and had a dog named 'Midnight' that he loved for many years. He had a parakeet named 'Pete' that belonged to his mother that lived to be twelve years old. Danny cherished Pete and buried him beside his mother. He had a tender heart toward his animals. He would want the animals he loved mentioned. Danny was diagnosed with lung cancer that quickly spread through his body. He died at Hamilton Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, Georgia. Danny was always a fighter but the cancer was just too much for him. He finally gave up and went home to be with Jesus. Danny is no long suffering which brings peace to those who loved him. Danny was preceded in death by his father, mother, son, wife and two brothers. He is now resting in the Loving Arms of Jesus with those he loved and went before him.
