Darriel David Hooker, age 73, of Crandall, Ga. passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024. He was born May 1, 1951. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah Samuel Hooker and Lillie Ann 'Watson' Hooker; brother, Thomas Albert Hooker; sister, Mary Eunivea and her husband Jesse Deal. He is survived by his son, Darriel David Hooker II; daughters, Billie Hope Hooker, Misty Lee Hooker; brothers, Junior Avery (Minnie) Hooker, Lester Lebronn Hooker; sisters, Martha Delaine Pullen, Vickie Sheryl Westmoreland, Teresia Lois Williams and John Paul; several nieces, nephews, cousins, one uncle, and his beloved dog "Spooky". Darriel loved his children, enjoyed old cars, Star Wars, most all science fiction, and jeopardy. Thank you to Homespun Hospice for the care and kindness you provided to Darriel and our family. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Darriel Hooker will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Cochran officiating. Interment will be at Varnell Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at Dalton Funeral Home.
