David "Day Day" Shoemaker, age 48, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021. He was born on March 3, 1973. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Shoemaker. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth "Bettie" Shoemaker of Dalton; brothers, Robert (Leighanna) Shoemaker, Jr. of Chatsworth, Matthew Paul (Angie) Shoemaker of Calhoun; sisters, Rosa Lee Shoemaker of Dalton, Kimberly Ann Shoemaker of Dalton; special uncle, Jerry Shoemaker; his riding buddy, Tucker; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. A funeral service to celebrate the life of David "Day Day" Shoemaker will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 3, 2021 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Jarrett officiating.
