David Lawrence Odom, age 55, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia departed this life at Hamilton Medical Center on Monday, April 3, 2017 after a brief illness. He was born on September 28, 1961. He was a disabled veteran of the US Air Force. David worked many years at Mohawk Industries (World Carpets.) He received an Associates Degree in Business Management from Dalton State College. He joins his parents, John Russel Odom, Sr. and Shirley Poppell Odom; brothers, Chester, John Jr., and George Odom; and his sister, Ruby Brehm. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Paula Odom; daughter, Jessica Odom; son, Robert and his husband Michael Cardom; sister, Pamela Odom; sister, Marjorie Stoker and her husband Tommy who was a very special friend to David; sisters in law, Debbie, Judy and Sheila; brother in law, Joseph; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. A funeral service to celebrate the life of David Lawrence Odom will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Robertson officiating.
