David Buster Patterson, age 72, of the Carbondale community in Dalton, Georgia was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on October 30, 1948 and passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 following a lingering illness for 2 years. Bro. Patterson served as Assistant Pastor, Associate Pastor and Pastor at different churches and has been a member of The House of Deliverance in Ranger, GA for almost 36 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Willie and Minnie Patterson of McCaysville, GA; sisters, Cathy Patterson and Rachel Ball; brothers, Amon Patterson, Willie Patterson JR of McCaysville, and Bill Patterson of Cohutta, GA; and great grandchild, Jayla Patterson of Dalton. He is survived by his loving wife, Andrea Holsomback Patterson of the Carbondale community; 4 sons, Clifton Patterson, Charles (Jackie) Patterson, Jason Patterson of Cohutta, and Anthony (Lynn) Patterson of Charleston, TN; 2 daughters, Ginger Almon of Dalton, and Amanda (Chris) Hutson of Lutrell, TN; 11 grandsons, Jarrod (Megan) Patterson, Caleb (Courtney) Holcomb, Aaron Patterson, Jake Patterson, Levi Patterson, Colton Patterson, Weston Patterson, Troy Patterson, Alex Cross, Evan (Hannah) Cross, and Noah Ledford; 12 granddaughters, Brooke (Paul) Boyette, Katherine Henson, Amber Patterson, Grace (Branson) Johnson, Sahara (Robert) Dye, Heaven Patterson, Leah Patterson, Kyndall Patterson, Gabby Almon, Brittany (Nick) Everette, Kalia Nicely, and Hannah Hutson; 7 great grandchildren, Tyler Arnold, Tristian Patterson, Aiden Patterson, Cayden Patterson, Jasper Patterson, Jerimiah David Patterson, and Koen Johnson due in November; 7 great granddaughters, Hallee Dye, Janelle Patterson, Aliyah Patterson, McKenley Boyette, Melody Niceley, Aubree Niceley, and Kenzlee Niceley; 4 brothers, Jerry (Linda) Patterson, Jimmy (Patricia) Patterson, Donnie (Sharon) Patterson, and Melvin (Tonta) Patterson; 4 sisters, Evon Stout, Lizzie (Harold) Molone, Mildred (David) Phelps, and Shirley (Yovanny) Simon; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and brother in law, Sammie (Pat) Holsomback. The viewing for family and friends will be from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at The House of Deliverance (157 Middle Rd. Ranger, GA 30734). A going home celebration for Bro. Patterson will be at 1:00 PM following the viewing at the church with Bro. Phillip Averette, Bro. Caleb Patterson, Bro. Zebulon Patterson, Sis. Sharon Patterson and Bro. Donnie Patterson officiating. Grave side service will be at Sugar Valley Cemetery following the service with Bro. Kenny Rodriguez officiating.
