Ms. Debbie Baker (Madden), age 62, of Dalton, GA. passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. She was born on December 14, 1960. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorenzo Baker and Barbara Cobb Baker. She is survived by her daughters, Krystal Thomas (Xeryus) and Jasmine Madden; brothers, Gregory Baker (Melinda), Scott Baker (Robert), David Baker, Vinci Baker (Theresa), and Horace Moore (Eddie Mae); sisters, Dorenda Moore (Kenneth) and Carla Baker Clark (Carlos); aunt, Wilma Baker Parks; grandchildren, Kharysma Madden, Destini Madden, Zeryus (Mega) Thomas, and Zerie (Epiq) Thomas; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; best friend always, Anthony Reece Madden; forever mother-in-law, Lula Mae Madden; bonus children, Shequitia Pate, Vonta Macon, and Akeyla Powell; and lifelong best friends, Phyllis Mahoney and Mary Dillard. Debbie was a graduate of Dalton High School. She earned her nursing degree from Dalton Vocational School. Debbie was a nurse for over 30 years. Retiring in December of 2022, Debbie was excited to pursue Nana's Homemade Goods – baking her famous fried pies full-time. Debbie was an ordained minister. She was an active member of Community Fellowship Church. Debbie founded Grace Ministries, served as a member of the NAACP, the Dalton MLK, Jr. committee, and many other community committees A private service to celebrate the life of Ms. Debbie Baker (Madden) will be held.
