Deloris Irene Burkett, age 71 of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023. She was born on December 24, 1951. She is preceded in death by her mother, Dora Pratt Duke; husband, Johnny Alan Burkett; brother, Buck Duke; aunt, Nora Pratt (became a mother to her after her mother passed). She is survived by her sons, Chris Camp (fiancé Crystal Osborne), Fletcher Burkett (Tiffany); step-son, Johnny Burkett (Tammy); brothers, Daniel Duke, Johnny Duke, Sammy Duke; sisters, Beverly Holbrook, Martha Kennedy, Maryann Haygood; grandchildren, Gracie Burkett, Brody Burkett, Zaden Burkett; great grandchild, Crew Burkett; very special niece, Martilia Kennedy (also known as her daughter) special nieces, Allison Osborne Blalock (Jason), Sherry Lynn Osborne. Deloris held a special place in her heart for her grand-dogs, Georgia and Precious and her grand-cat Kirby. A funeral service will be held for Deloris on November 28, 2023 at 1:00 P.M in the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney Kennedy officiating, speaker Kelly Thomas. Interment will be at Colonial Hills Memorial Park. Family will be receiving friends for a visitation November 28, 2023 from 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM at Dalton Funeral Home.
