D.L. Flood, age 84, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021. He was born on April 5, 1937. He was preceded in death by his son, Dana Flood; parents, John Harrison Flood and Lemmer Wilson Flood; brothers, Gerald Flood, Mack Flood, Floyd Flood, Wallace Flood, Ray Flood, John Flood; and a sister, Edna Flood Parks. He is survived by his wife, Betty Flood of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Karen Flood of Hixson, TN; daughter-in-law, Melanie Flood of Dalton; grandchildren, Jessica Flood, Ryne Flood, Murphy Flood, Caleb Flood, Austin Culpepper, Taylor Culpepper; great grandchildren, Eli Postell and Cambree Floyd. A funeral service to celebrate the life of D.L. Flood will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Bruce Ellis officiating. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-8 PM Tuesday evening.
