Donna Sue Ward of Dalton, GA and formerly of Gosnell, AR, passed away peacefully at Regency Park Health & Rehabilitation Center Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the age of 78. She is survived by her son, Eric Gowin, his wife Wendy, grand daughter Madison Barrett and her husband Ty, and grandson, Ian Gowin; brothers Larry Sparks and Chad Sparks (Mary Nell); and nephews Scott Sparks and Justin Sparks (Laura); great nephews Levi and Aaron and great niece Hope Sparks. Sue was preceded in death by her parents Jolly and Margaret Sparks of Blytheville, AR and other dear family members. Friends and family will remember her infectious smile and generous heart. Sue loved shopping and giving, playing cards and travelling, enjoying a good meal with friends, and simply loving people. Most of her career was spent in customer service positions using her keen eye for details and excellent memory for ever-changing price and product lists, as well as her long-standing relationships with customers. Her years working on the switchboard at Hamilton Medical Center endeared her to the medical community as well. A private family service will be held in Arkansas later this month.
