Dorothy Jones, age 85, of Hixson, Tennessee passed away Monday, March 21, 2016. She was born on July 11, 1930 in Dalton, Georgia but has lived in Hixson for 49 years. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, George T.C. Jones; and her parents, Ross G. Ledford and Julia Beasley Ledford. She is survived by her daughter, Julia C Belk and son in law Wayne Belk , son and daughter in law  George Wayne and Kathy Jones;  brother, Charlie Ledford; sisters, Lynn Cooper, Lena Blakemore; grandchildren and their spouses, Chris Belk, Nicole and B.J. McCallister, Jory and Jen Belk, , Megan and Randall Baldwin, Chad Young ; great grandchildren, Autumn, Jax, Corbin, and Ethan. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Dorothy Jones will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 24, 2016 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 11:00 AM until the hour of service. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be, Chris Hulbert, Chad Young, Randall Baldwin, Chris Belk, B.J. McCallister and Terry McNabb.
