Dorothy "Dot" Marie Akins Dial Massingill, age 74, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Monday, November 7, 2016. She was born on November 28, 1941. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Massingill; and her parents, TP and Etta Marie Akins. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Dial Perez of Tucson, AZ; brother, Harold Lee Akins of Catoosa, GA; grandchildren, Alesha Lynn Taylor, Johnathan Cary Robershaw, Ashley Christine Robershaw, Samantha Katlin Perez, and Matthew Tyler Perez; great grandchildren, Cameron Koutz, Marcus Koutz, twins – Gavin Roberson and Chase Roberson, Alissa Koutz, Mythius Perez, Orianna, and Antonio; special friend and family, Kathy Martin of Dalton. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Dorothy "Dot" Marie Akins Dial Massingill will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home.
