Douglas Howard, age 73, of Dalton, Georgia passed away at his home on Friday, August 16, 2019.  He was born on December 7, 1945. His hobbies included, knife collecting, pocket watches and guns as well as antique clocks. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Creed Howard; brother, Gordon Howard; sister, Frances Sliger. He is survived by his loving wife, Sheryl Howard of Dalton; daughters, Angela Jackson (Mike) of Dalton, GA and Tammie Cogburn (Jeff) of Chattanooga, TN; 3 grandchildren, Mikalia Jackson, Alikeshia Jackson and Tyler Jackson and 6 great grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Douglas Howard will be held on Tuesday, August 20 at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will be at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, McDonald, TN The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5:00 -8:00 PM Monday August 19, 2019.
