Dovie L. Peek, age 69, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Friday, March 18, 2016. She was born on February 11, 1947. Dovie was preceded in death by her mother, Ida Martin; son, Eddie Clack; brother, Jimmy Martin; sisters, Daisey Baker, Ivy Martin, Lizzy Martin; granddaughter, Christine Clack; and a great granddaughter, Ofir Paul. She is survived by her husband, Herman Doyle Peek of Dalton; sons and daughter in law, Doyle and Leann Peek of LA, Ralph Clack of Dalton, Dean Paul of Ringgold; daughter and son in law, Elizabeth Paul and Johnny Johns of Ringgold; brother, Ernest Martin of Cleveland, TN; sisters and brother in law, Mary and Roy King of Cleveland, TN, Janie Muse of Rome, GA; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; special daughter in law, Janice Clack; special friends, Michelle and Shannon Clark, and Jeff Bohannon. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Dovie L. Peek will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. James Kent officiating. Interment will be at Colonial Hills Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-9 PM on Tuesday evening.
