Doyal C. Long, age 83, of Morganton, Ga. passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024. He was born January 11, 1941. He worked with local 43 Chattanooga Plumber and Steamfitters Union for 45 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Blaine and Trophie Long; son, Keith Long; sister, Helen Cork. He is survived by his loving wife of over 63 years, Oneita Long; daughters, Karen Joyce, Kay Crook; sisters, Ruth Worley, Vera Ann Twiddy; six grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; life long friend and brother in-law, Genie Tipton whom he thought of as a son. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Doyal C. Long will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Brother Roger Baker officiating. Interment will be Stock Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Dalton Funeral Home.
