Drew Anthony Brandenburg age 38, of Dalton, GA, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. Drew was born in Fort Worth, TX, on September 18, 1986, the son of James Brandenburg and Melissa Simonds Brandenburg. Drew was a man known for his warmth, his unwavering friendliness, and his incredible smile. He had a gift for making people feel safe and at ease. His joyful spirit was infectious, he loved to laugh, and his laugh will echo in the hearts of all that knew him. A true patriot, Drew held a deep love for his country and always carried pride with grace and dignity. He believed in service, community and standing up for what is right. Enlisting in the Army at a young age, his commitment to the values of duty, honor and country remained steadfast throughout his life, both in and out of uniform. But above all, Drew was a rock to his family. As a father he was endlessly supportive, loving and enjoyed playing video games and watching the Carolina Panthers during football season with his kids. As a husband, he was a steadfast partner and best friend. His family was his greatest joy, and he lived each day with them at the center of his heart. He was known for his sense of humor and love for telling jokes, cooking and entertainment, Drew was a leader, a friend and a big brother to all. In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Jordan Ayla Whited Brandenburg; three children, Quinton Brandenburg, Aysia Brandenburg, and Xavior Brandenburg; three stepchildren, Evalynn, Remington, and Opal; two brothers, Eric Simonds (Katie) and David Simonds (Nikki); maternal grandfather, Jim Simonds; and two nephews, Ayden Simonds and Memphis Simonds. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at Dalton Funeral Home.
