Edd Lamar Callahan, age 68, of Chatsworth, Georgia, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2013 at his home. He was born April 25, 1945 in Dalton, GA. Edd was very outgoing, he loved to dance and loved making people laugh. He lived life to its fullest. He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Violet Callahan; daughter, Michelle Callahan; and a sister and brother in law, Shirley and Lawrence Christopher. He is survived by his daughter, Susie Pendley of Dalton; son, Eddie Callahan of Chatsworth; brother, Charlie Callahan of Hickory, N.C.; special sister, Velma Callahan; sister and brother in law, Mamie and Jerry Jones of Tennessee; grandchildren, Bryce Pendley, Carisma Pendley, Austin Callahan, and Nicole Callahan; great grandchildren, Jacob Callahan, and Jackson Callahan; several nieces and nephews; special caregivers, Hamilton Medical Hospice; special nurses, Connie Bryant, and Wanda Cooper; special friends, Cohutta Shadows residents and managers. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Edd Lamar Callahan will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with a balloon release following the service. Rev. Jeff Johnson and Brother Howard Rittenhouse will be officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 to 9:00 PM Friday evening.
