Edna Marie Holloway Evans, age 70, of Chatsworth, Georgia passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2014. She was born on March 27, 1944 in Dallas, GA. Marie was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Grady Hix; son, David Holloway, and brother, Wayne Hix. Marie is survived by her loving husband of 7 years, William "Mike" Evans of Chatsworth; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Clint Dover of Chatsworth, Audrey and Scott Gallman of Chatsworth; mother, Minnie Ruth Hix of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Josh Dover and his wife Sherika Dover, Drew Dover, Brooke Gallman, Seth Gallman; great grandchildren, William Allen Dover, Jase Allen Dover. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Edna Marie Holloway Evans will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Cochran officiating. Interment will follow at Kilgore/New Hope Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 6:00-9:00 PM on Monday evening. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
