Edward C. Blackwell, age 82, of Dalton, Ga. passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025. He was born February 11, 1943. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Hunter Blackwell; parents, Frank Blackwell and Lena Bell Smitty; son, Gary Blackwell; daughter, Katheryn Williams; brothers, Johnny Blackwell, James Blackwell, Eugene Blackwell, Junior Blackwell, Ray Balckwell, Albert Blackwell, Robert Blackwell; sister, Minnielee Farmer. He is survived by his companion, Betty Nicholson; sons, Chris Blackwell, Raymond Blackwell; daughter, Lena Allen (David); brother, George Blackwell; sister, Lois Farmer; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Edward C. Blackwell will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Spangler officiating. Interment will be United Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Dalton Funeral Home.
