She leaves behind a legacy of love and perseverance, cherished by her brothers Charles (Diana) and Tommy (Dana) Keene, children, Gary Patton (Trenette) of Dalton, and Melanie Poteet (Stephen) of Chickamauga. Her spirit lives on through her grandchildren, Sarah Greeson (Tyler), Eric Collins (Lauren), Aaron Collins (Shirley), Cayla Collins, Mya Lively, Lauren Collins (Patrick Simmons), Hannah Collins (Matthew Clark), Emilee Collins, and Wyatt Poteet, as well as her great-grandchildren, Esther, Tabitha, and Charles Greeson; Chayce Collins; Anna and Eli Lively; Ezra Collins; Thomas and Addison Simmons. Pat's memory will also be cherished by her many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were blessed to know her. Pat was known for her favorite title, Grammy, and took immense pride in sharing stories and achievements of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with anyone she met. Her love for gardening was inherited from her mother, and she could often be found tending to her vegetable and flower gardens, continuing the tradition of nurturing growth and beauty in her family's life. An adventurer at heart, Pat was always ready for a "junkin'" expedition, never missing an opportunity to find a good deal and share a laugh. Her fighting spirit, famously known as pitching a "Pat fit," ensured that she stood up for what was right and accomplished tasks no one else could, a testament to her resilience and determination. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to her best friend Amanda Jordon and niece Connie Kendall for their unwavering support, companionship, and countless hours spent running errands, attending doctor's appointments, and simply being there as true friends through all seasons of life. A celebration of Pat's life will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at the clubhouse in North Oaks subdivision, 1704 Willow Oak Lane, Dalton, GA 30721. We invite all who knew and loved Elizabeth to join us in honoring her memory and the indelible mark she left on our hearts. Pat's legacy is one of love, resilience, and the joy of living life to the fullest. Her memory will forever be a beacon of warmth and strength for all who were privileged to know her.
