Elizabeth M. "Libby" Foster Whiteside, age 87, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Monday, March 13, 2023. She was born on December 7, 1935. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Harvey Whiteside; parents, Wilson W. and Sarrah B. "Davenport" Foster; brothers, Claude Foster, Lonis Foster; sisters, Zona Walters, Oma Todd, Iva Baker, Ethel Matthews, Retha Poarch; brother in-law, James H. Farr, daughter in-law, Cindy Whiteside. She is survived by her sons, David and Marion Whiteside, Wendell Whiteside, Randall and Debra Whiteside; daughters, Pamela and Alan Goldberg, Kellie and Tom Hull; brothers, Arrie and Carol Foster, Johnson and Sharon Foster; sister, Deverda Farr; grandchildren, Jordan Goldberg, Joy Goldberg, Wyatt Goldberg, Andrew Swinney, Jonathon Hull, Thomas Hull, Tyler Hull, Tim Cason, James Whiteside, Dustin Whiteside, Andrea Farrell, Ashley Humphries, Michelle Hamilton; sixteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Elizabeth M. "Libby" Foster Whiteside will be held in the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home Friday, March 17, 2023 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Bruce Beach and John Everett officiating. Interment will be at United Memorial Gardens. The grandchildren and great grandchildren will be pallbearers. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Dalton Funeral Home.
