Evelyn Francis Granny Ledford, age 88, of Chatsworth, Georgia passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021. She was born March 7, 1933. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Leon Ledford; parents, Marion Samuel Sr. and Dora Thomason Walls; brother James Mitchell Walls; sisters, Marie Walls, Ruth Collins, Pauline Towery and Florence Davis. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky Quarles of Dalton, Ga; James Michael and Janet Quarles of Tunnel Hill, Ga; Larry Bruce and Eva Quarles of Chatsworth, Ga.; special nieces Emily Stanfield and Margett Chudzinski; brother, M Sam Walls Jr. of Chatsworth, Ga; Sisters, Dorothy Caldwell of Dalton, Ga; Hilda Stanfield of Calhoun, Ga.; 7 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grand Children. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Evelyn Francis Granny Ledford will be held 5:00 PM Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremiah Quarles officiating. Interment will be at New Hope Kilgore Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation from 3:00 PM until the hour of service at 5:00 PM.
