Fannie Thomas, age 92, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015. She was born January 20, 1923. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Bethie Tate; brother, Howard Tate; and a sister, Velma Tate. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Alford of Dalton; grandchildren, Heather Dillard and her husband Allen of Dalton, Courtland Alford and his wife Linda of Calhoun; great grandchildren, Lee Dillard and his wife Tiffany, Chandler Dillard; great great grandchildren, Bentley Dillard and Greyson Dillard. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Fannie Thomas will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, August 2, 2015 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Carl Sterling and Rev. Brad Baily officiating. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 1:00 PM till the hour of service.
