Florene Nicholson, age 58, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away Friday, June 16, 2017. She was born August 9, 1958. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Shirley; and a daughter, Kristy Hensley. She is survived by her father, Raymond Shirley of Calhoun; husband, Herman Southerland of Calhoun; son and daughter in law, Daniel and June Floyd of Adairsville; daughter and fiancé, Jennifer Fricks and Kelsi Whitlock of Calhoun; brother, Gordon Craig of Calhoun; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service to celebrate the life of Florene Nicholson will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Salacoa Cemetery with Greg Montgomery officiating.
