Freddie M. Quarles, age 77, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018. He was born on May 2, 1941. Freddie is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (Sugar) Quarles; parents, Mack and Pauline Quarles. He is survived by his daughter, Tina and husband Thomas Johnston; grandson, Matthew Johnston; granddaughter, Cheyenne and husband Rob Kitzmiller; great grandson, Julian Kitzmiller; sisters, Jeanette and Geneva; brother, Gary Quarles and wife Kathy; he is also survived by numerous stepchildren and grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Freddie M. Quarles will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Junior Williams officiating. Interment will be at Cohutta Hills Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 6-8 PM on Tuesday evening, September 18, 2018.
