Gary Lance, age 64, of Dalton, Georgia passed away unexpectedly Saturday, April 28, 2018 at his residence. Gary was the son of the late Henry G. and Madeline Cline Lance. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Grady and Marilyn Lance of Dalton; and a very special friend, Manee Gray of Rome. He is also survived by his aunts, Velma Lance Stancil of Resaca, and Bonnie Lance of Dalton; uncle and aunt, Frank and Faye Lance of Resaca; and several cousins. He was a graduate of Valley Point High School and of Coosa Valley Technical College. He retired as a Tool and Dye Maker after 30 years of service from STEMCO Rome (formerly Rome Tool and Dye). A private funeral service was held at Hill City Baptist Church and followed by burial in Redwine Cove Cemetery.
