Gary D. White, 74, of Tunnel Hill, GA passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021. He was born on October 5, 1946. He was preceded in death by his parents, L.B. White and Alveretta White; wife, Joyce "Dunn" White; and son, Kelvin White; brothers, Floyd White and Jimmy White; and sister, Paula Jean White. Gary is survived by his sister, Agnes Souther; several nieces, nephews and his best friend, Jimmy Stover. Gary was a Medic Specialist 4 1st Air Calvary Division; who served in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart for saving the lives of his wounded buddies and which recognized Gary as a brave and wounded soldier. Gary was a kind, loving man, who was a joy and pleasure to be around. He will be dearly missed by those who loved and knew him, and remembered by the many lives he touched along the way. A service to celebrate the life of Gary D. White will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, September 10, 2021, at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Pratt Hughes and Bro. Paul Thomas Hughes officiating. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 11:00 AM -2:00 PM Friday, September 10, 2021.
