Geneva May Markos, age 84 of Dalton, passed away on Thursday morning, August 15, 2013. Geneva was born on October 3, 1928 in Flint, Michigan. She was the daughter of the late Clayton and Geneva Matthews. She was married to her late husband, William James Markos. Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Virginia and Richard Howe of Dalton; grandchildren, Richard Howe II, Scott Howe and James Howe, four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, brother, Russell Robins; sister, Virginia Smith; granddaughter Cassandra Howe; grandson, Timothy Howe. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Geneva May Markos will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Minter officiating. Interment will be at 4:00 PM on Monday, August 19, 2013 at Colonial Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
