Obituary

Mrs. Genevia Ann Earley, age 75, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on April 30, 2026, after a hard-fought battle with dementia.

She was born on September 2, 1950, in Dalton, Georgia, and was a 1968 graduate of Westside High School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam Crumbley Earley and Alillian D. “Lois” Earley; her brother, Sam Lamar Earley of Rocky Face; and her sister, Betty Sue Babb of Cohutta.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Eric and Amber Quarles of Coronado, California, and John and Lisa Quarles of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Samuel Quarles, Chloe Quarles, Joseph Miller, and Austin Masingale; sisters and brothers-in-law, Louise and Jerry Faith of Tunnel Hill, and Elaine and Charlie Sisson of Ringgold; brother-in-law, John C. Babb of Cohutta; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Genevia was a gifted gardener who took great pride in her flowers and yard and was well known for playing church hymns on the piano. She also loved her animals over the years, especially her dogs and cats.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Genevia will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the service.

Interment will follow at 4:00 PM at Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
