George E. Brandenburg, age 84, of Chatsworth, Georgia passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021. He was born on March 18, 1937. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Ellis and Coria Hamilton Brandenburg; brother, Thomas Brandenburg; sisters, Reba Wynn, Ruby Gorman, Lois Raybon and Ada Wisckol. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Carolyn Bowen Brandenburg of Chatsworth, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Debbie Brandenburg of Ellijay, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Greg Tisdale of Ypsilanti, Michigan; sister, Betty Cantley of Ypsilanti, Michigan; grandchildren Monica Duckett, Kenli Johnson, and Branden Tisdale; great grandchildren, Paisley Duckett, Khole Keith, and Corbin Keith. A funeral service to celebrate the life of George E. Brandenburg will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, May 14, 2021 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Ryan Stanford & Pastor Mark Bowen officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-8 PM Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Dalton Funeral Home.
