Mr. George N. Woods lll, age 65, of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022. He was born on September 13, 1956. He is preceded in death by his father, George N. Woods Jr.; and mother, Joan Mary Frey. Mr. Woods was a Dalton High School graduate in 1975 and lettered all four years for football. He attended Jacksonville State University on a football scholarship. Mr. Woods is a U.S. Army Veteran and a truck driver. He is survived by his son, George and Melisha Woods lV; daughters, Ashley Woods, Amber and Ethan Crowley, Abbigail Woods; brother, Robert and Melody Woods; sisters, Debra and Joseph Dombroski, Elizabeth and Mark Griggs; grandchildren, Brett, Destinee, Jantzen, Stryker, Caine, Colton, Josiah, and Ethan. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. George N. Woods lll will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 in the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Cochran officiating.
