Mr. Gerald Goodson, age 56 of Dalton, GA passed away Monday evening, September 23, 2013 at his home. Born on February 11, 1957, Gerald was the son of the late Julius and Roseann Manning Goodson. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Linda Cantrell Goodson. Gerald is survived by his daughters, Tonya Goodson and Lindsey Goodson both of Winston-Salem, NC; brother, Randy Goodson of Dalton; sisters and brothers in law, Cindy and Steven Massengill, Charlotte and Tommy Garrison and Roxie Cantrell all of Dalton; grandchildren, Britany Sealey, Tiffany Sealey, Shawn Sealey, Makailyn Fine and Natalie Fine all of Winston-Salem, NC; Nieces, Nikkie Hope, Roseanna Page, Barandi Goodson, Wendy Curtis and Brittany Schlapa; nephews, Rory Cantrell, Hugh Cantrell, Lee Cantrell, Donnie Garrison, Chris Garrison and Dylan Massengill. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Gerald Goodson will be held at 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Joe Manning officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 PM till the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to The American Cancer Society.
