Glenda Sue Smith, age 70, of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021. She was born on January 18, 1951. She was preceded in death by her parents Bill Hipps and Katherine "Goode" Moore; brother, J.W. Moore; brother-in-law, Tony Moneymaker; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Jerry Farris. She is survived by her husband Gerald Smith, sons Johnny Greene, Christopher F. (Rachel) Smith both of Chatsworth, GA; Daniel (Cassandra) Smith of Philadelphia; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie (Chris) Plott of Florida, Wendy (Jeff) Dale of Tunnel Hill, GA; brothers, Steve (Peggy) Hipps of Chatsworth, GA; sisters, Carolyn (Tony) Moneymaker of Chatsworth, GA, Kathy (Harvey) Whitener of Dalton, GA.; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grand children. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Glenda Sue Smith will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Rev. Bud Pierce officiating. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 11:00 – 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
