Gloria Sue Teasley, age 77, of Dalton, Ga. passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. She was born February 11, 1947. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mattie Collins Lovelady; sister, Janice Brewer; granddaughter, Kimblery Masters; great granddaughter, Sarah Collins; grandmother, Prudie Bell Roberts; nephew, Steven Massingill. Sue had a deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures. She loved to draw and paint, finding beauty and inspiration in the world around her. One of her favorite pastimes was riding along the back roads, taking in the serenity of nature and the landscapes she cherished. These quiet moments of reflection and connection to the world fueled her creativity and brought her peace. Her family and friends were the center of her life. Sue's love for them was boundless, and she devoted herself wholeheartedly to their happiness and well-being. Her unwavering kindness and generous spirit left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered, making her a true beacon of love and compassion. She is survived by her son, Johnny Teasley Jr.; daughter, Camila Jeffery and husband Rickey of Dalton, Kathy Teasley of Dalton; brothers, Jerry Jones and wife Jane of Plainville GA., Johnny Jones of Chatsworth; sister, Patricia Deitz and husband Jim of Plainview, TX.; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephew and cousins. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Ms. Gloria Sue Teasley will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at the Little Prospect Baptist Church, 8347 GA-2, Dalton, GA., with Pastor Shane Pierce officiating.
