Mr. Gregory D. Burchfield, age 40, of Tunnel Hill, GA passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023. He was born on May 25, 1982. He is preceded in death by his sister: Delana Cleary; grandparents: Harlan and Zelphia Burchfield; Edward (Ed) and Gladys Welch; friend and mentor: John Collins. He is survived by his parents: William and Marlene Burchfield of Dalton; wife: Tonya Burchfield of Tunnel Hill; daughters: Courtney Burchfield of Ranger, GA and Jalyn Hunt of Tunnel Hill; and sister: Sherry Love of Canada. Greg was a Christian man, and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Villanow. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends. Some of his best memories were made with his daughters, Courtney and Jalyn. He loved Ford, his 1965 F100 "Ol Blue", the Georgia Bulldogs, and the Atlanta Braves. Serving as Pallbearers, Brandon Leach, Jeremie Leach, Dean Leach, Mike Morrow, Dustin Brock, Jeffrey Misskelley. Honorary Pallbearers, Brad Ramsey, Arnold Bowling, Jonathan Layman, Brandon Weldon. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Gregory D. Burchfield will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Macedonia Baptist Church (12461 E. Highway 136 Lafayette, GA 30728) with Pastor Larry Scoggins and Pastor John Everett officiating. Interment will be at White Cemetery in Villanow GA. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5:00 – 8:00 PM on Monday, March 13, 2023 at Dalton Funeral Home.
