Harold L. Akins, age 69, of Cohutta, Georgia passed away Friday, April 28, 2017. He was born on July 21, 1947. He was preceded in death by his parents, T.P. and Etta Akins; son, Bobby Akins; and a sister, Dorothy Massingill. He is survived by his wife, Connie Akins of Cohutta; sons and daughters in law, David and Aletha Akins of Gulfport, MS, Steven Akins of San Diego, CA, Kevin and Nicole Akins of Dalton; daughter, Cindy Pendley of Chatsworth; and 8 grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Harold L. Akins will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Varnell Baptist Church with Ronnie Kyle and Tim Kyle officiating.
