Harriett Wylene Harrison, age 86, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Friday, November 18, 2016. She was born on September 24, 1930. Harriett retired from GTE after many years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, JB Harrison; parents, Walter and Eula Cleckler; brother, Walter "Bub" Cleckler; sisters, Virginia Bishop and Margaret Elizabeth. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Millie and David Scott of Dalton; sons and daughters in law, Charles and Debbie Grant of Rocky Face, Lyle and Debra Grant of Dalton, Kenny Grant of Atlanta; sister, Betty McNally of Dalton; special friend and companion, John (Junior) Ogle of Dalton; beloved dog, Susie; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. She was a loving mother to all her children and grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Harriett Wylene Harrison will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at McFarland Hills Baptist Church with Bro. Charles Rogers officiating. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation at Dalton Funeral Home from 5-8 PM Monday evening.
