Helen Sue Lofty, age 79 of Dalton, GA passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013. Born on September 5, 1934 in Fairmount, GA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gentry Lofty; parents, John and Myrtle Roland;  brothers, Wallace Roland, Frank Roland, JW (Bud) Roland; sister, Mary Holsomback. Helen is survived by her son and daughter in law, Robert and Shelly Lofty of Calhoun; daughter, Crickett Keener of Dalton; brothers and sisters in law, Caris and Marilyn Roland of Calhoun and Travis and Bobbie Roland of Calhoun; sisters and brothers in law, Christine and Dale Walkins of Resaca, Gwen Griffin of Cartersville, Faye and Henry Durham of Calhoun; sister in law, Shirley Roland of Calhoun; grandchildren, Brian Lofty, Brooke Neighbors, Alex Keener, Courtney, and Josh Lofty; great grandchildren, Hunter Neighbors, Mason Neighbors, and Kyleigh Neighbors. A funeral service for Helen Sue Lofty will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home. Interment will follow at West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation from 2:00 till the funeral hour.
