Henry Leonard Howard, age 79, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015. He was born March 12, 1936. He is preceded in death by his parents, Stephen Henry Howard and Bertie Ray Howard; and a son, David Allen Howard. Henry is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Ruby Howard of Dalton; son and daughter in law, Dennis and Teresa Howard of Dalton; daughter, Phyllis McClure of Chatsworth; brothers and sisters in law, James and Norelda Howard of Ringgold, Kenneth and Marie Howard of Dalton; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Henry Leonard Howard will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, September 18, 2015 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Brother Stan Lester officiating. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 12:00 PM till the hour of service.
