Herman Doyle "Lightening" Peek, age 76, of Ringgold, Georgia passed away Monday, August 2, 2021. He was born on June 19, 1945. He retired at J&J Carpet after 29 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dovie Peek; parents, Carl and Mae Peek; brother, Bud Peek; sister, Catherine Dennison; and great granddaughter, Ofir Marie Paul. He is serviced by his son, Doyle Peek; daughter Marie Paul (Johnny Johns); sister Carolyn Bledsoe (David); 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and special friend and care taker, Dean Paul. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Herman Doyle "Lightening" Peek will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home. Interment will be at Colonial Hills Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-8 PM Wednesday evening.
