Hershell Cochran, age 85, of Dalton, Georgia went to his eternal heavenly home on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. He was born on January 5, 1935. He was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Lillis Brackett Cochran; his wife of 63 years, Ella Mosley Cochran; brothers, Delmer Cochran, Cecil Cochran, Lloyd Cochran, Leonard Cochran, Bob Cochran; sisters, Genevieve Ellis, Minnie Ruth Hollis, Myrtle Franks and brother in law, Bill Wells. He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Cecil "Ernie" and Angela Cochran of Dalton; sisters and brother in law, Bertha Wells of Dalton, Betty and Ronald Jones of Dalton; and grandson, Josh Cochran of Dalton; sister in laws, Betty Cochran and Frances Cochran; and many nieces and nephews who he loved. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Hershell Cochran will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Andrew Towe and Josh Cochran officiating. Interment will be at United Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.
