Hilda S. Williams, age 85, of Chatsworth, Georgia passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015. She was born October 6, 1930. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Williams; son, Walter Daniel Ridley; daughter, Laura Ridley Strickland; parents, Walter Grady Scott and Alice Hill Scott Kirkland; brothers, W.G. Scott and Charles Dee Scott; son in law, Wayne Kilgore. Hilda is survived by her son and daughter in law, Steve and Linda Ridley of Dalton; daughter, Lavada Kilgore of Chatsworth; sisters, Edna Scott Ridley of Chatsworth and Jerri Hightower of Huntsville, AL; sister in law, Freida Scott of Chatsworth; son in law, Lamar Strickland of Augusta, GA; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Hilda S. Williams will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with B.W. Ridley officiating. Interment will be at Free Hope Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 11:00 AM till the hour of service.
