Homer Erwin Lankford, JR, age 78, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Monday, February 10, 2020. He was born on October 15, 1941. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Vera Lankford; parents, Homer Erwin Lankford, SR and Sara Lankford. He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Cameron and Angie Lankford of Dalton; daughters and son in law, Kimberly Lankford of Dalton, Lori Rich of Dalton, Brooke and Johnathan Perry of Dalton; brother, Bobby Lankford of Dalton; grandchildren, Cayman Lankford, Paige Perry, Gracie Rich, Hunter Perry, Harper Perry; and special friend, Uncle Paul. To Celebrate the life of Homer Erwin Lankford, JR the family will have friends for visitation from 2-4 PM Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Dalton Funeral Home. Interment will follow at United Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family has requested for donations to be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the American Heart Association.
