Howard Stafford, age 86, of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021. He was born on November 8, 1934. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace Stafford and Dextor Pullen Stafford. He is survived by his wife, Jean Stafford of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Amy Stafford of Calhoun; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Charles Hawkins of Dalton; brothers and sister-in-law, Gordon Stafford, Grady and Libby Stafford; sisters and son-in-law, Mary Dean and Jerry Belcher, Betty Fagala; grandchildren, Jeffery Stafford, Hannah Watson, Matthew Hawkins, Tiffany Hawkins, Corey Hawkins, Zachary Hawkins, Joshua Hawkins; great grandchildren, Holden Halls, Avery Hawkins, Finley Hawkins, Brentley Bailey and Ella Kate Bailey. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Howard Stafford will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Rodger Whorton officiating. Interment will be at United Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 11:00 AM until the hour of service. Ricky Dean, Ronnie Stafford, Ray Plemons, Larry Gazaway, Gary Hayes and Holden Halls will be serving as pallbearers.
