Hubert William Nelson, age 69, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Friday, March 11, 2016. He was born on June 16, 1946 in Ranger, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Della Nelson; brothers, Leonard Nelson, Linville Nelson, Delbert Nelson; and a sister, Pauline Hoffstad. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Nelson of Dalton; sons and daughter in law, Jeff and Sonia Nelson of Dalton, Jerry Nelson of Dalton, Chad Nelson of Dalton; daughters and sons in law, Joann and Chad Cook of West Virginia, Michelle and John Fowler of Dalton; brother and sister in law, Delmas and Sylvia of West Virginia; 13 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Hubert William Nelson will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Friendship Baptist Church on Maddox Chapel Road with Pastor John Souther officiating. The Honor Guard from The American legion will be in charge of the military service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Gardens in West Virginia.
