Mr. Hugh Lee (Bobby) Mooney Jr., age 82, of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023. He was born in Dalton, GA on December 5, 1940. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hugh Lee Mooney Sr. and Sara Brownlee Mooney. He is survived by his wife, Patty Holland Mooney of Calhoun; son, Hugh Lee Mooney lll (Liza); daughters Dee Dee Mooney Wamsley (RJ), Jennifer Mooney Grafe (Scott) and sister, Gwen McKenzie (Jerre); grandchildren: Sara Grace, Emma, Mary, Isabella, Anna Lee, Lilly, Patton, Charles, and Townsend and nieces and a nephew. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Hugh Lee (Bobby) Mooney Jr. will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, February 23, 2023 in the sanctuary of Dalton First United Methodist Church with Brian Clark officiating. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall. A private interment will be at Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Dalton First United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Dalton First United Methodist Church or the North Georgia Humane Society in Mr. Mooney's honor.
