Ida Chadwick Walker, age 90, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Thursday, December 5, 2019. She was born on January 4, 1929. Ida was a member and one of the founders at Open Door Lighthouse Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonzo Chadwick; son, Robert Chadwick; parents, Thomas and Lizzie Panter; brother, Authur Panter; sister, Ada Long, Fair Gooch, and Lemma Richards. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Kenneth and Cynthia Chadwick of Dalton; 2 daughter in laws, Carolyn Verner, and Hilda Chadwick; sister, Edna Baker of Atlanta, Annie of Ohio; grandchildren, Kathy Chadwick, Kenneth Michael Chadwick, Kimberly Chandler (Ashley), Diane Sims (Donnie), Kevin Chadwick (Kristin); great grandchildren, Chad, Savannah, Kaley, Kara, Bethany (Shane), Hunter, Kristen (Adam); and great great grandchild, Raelynn. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Ida Chadwick Walker will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 9, 2019 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Cynthia Chadwick. Interment will be at Mineral Springs Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-8 PM Sunday evening.
