James F. Campbell, SR, age 80, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021. He was born on January 28, 1941. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Jean Campbell; parents, George Sherman Campbell and Nora Josephine Campbell; grandsons, Tommy Campbell, Joshua Campbell, Austin Dodson; brothers, Bill Campbell, Thomas Campbell, Robert Campbell, Horace Campbell, McAuther Campbell; sisters, Vernie Peters and Mary Ellen Campbell. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Campbell of Dalton; sons, James F. Campbell, JR (Beth Kenemer) of Rocky Face, Darrell Dewayne Campbell (Sharon) of Dalton, Davone Ledford Campbell of Dalton, Michael Ledford (Megan) of Ohio; daughters, Rebecca Hardin (Tim) of Benton, TN, Joella Scott (Rodney) of Dalton, Melissa Ledford of Dalton; brother, Lewis Campbell (Debbie) of Dalton; sister, Sue Miller of Erwin, TN; special cousin, Mae Coulter; special sister-in-law, Patsy Banister; father-in-law, Charles Cordell; 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 2-4 PM Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Dalton Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
