James Eddie "EJ" Shelton, Jr., age 31, of Dalton, Georgia departed this life on Thursday, September 16, 2021. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, David Eugene Kelly, Sr., and Zeke Franklin Shelton; and niece, Autumn Marie Perry. Survivors include his wife, Brittany Shelton; stepdaughters, Kyleigh Phillips, Madison Phillips; stepson, Micah Phillips; father, Eddie Shelton; mother, Audra Kelly; sisters, DeLana Shelton, Frankie Shelton; brother, Bradley Pitts; grandmothers, Agnes Gamblin, Eva Shelton; nieces and nephews, Javarri Dixon, Tyilyin Dixon, DayVionna Perry, Jamison Findlay; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. A funeral service to celebrate the life of James Eddie "EJ" Shelton, Jr. will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Zach Greer officiating. Interment will be at Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 10:00 AM until the hour of service.
