James Arnold Jones, age 76, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Friday, July 19, 2019.  He was a car salesman for 55 years.  He was a member of the Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church.  He is preceded in death by his parents, C. L. and Ella Jones; and a son Jimmy Jones. He is survived by his wife, Genieva Jones of Dalton; son and daughter in law, Nathan and Cortney Jones of Chatsworth; daughters, Janet Battles and Vicki Jones of Chatsworth; brother and sister in law, Ronald Dee and Betty Jones of Dalton; sisters Peggy Ray and Sharon Miller of Chatsworth; Sister and brother in law, Alice and Mark Chute of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Shenna Battles, Damien Hunter, William Hunter, Kayleigh Jones, Deacon Jones; and 4 great grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate the life of James Arnold Jones will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastors Ronald Guffy and Robert Beavers officiating.  Interment will be at Spring Place Cemetery, Chatsworth, Ga.
